McCain is the world's largest producer of frozen fries and potato specialties. With 21,000 employees over 6 continents, the market leader has an annual turnover of more than $9 billion CDN. One in every four French fries in the world is a McCain fry.
To optimise acquisition at restaurants, McCain was looking to create new customised sales software. McCain selected Apadmi to create a smart B2B iPad app that would help account managers on location calculate the potential profit for the customer when they choose a new, or better, product from McCain.
How we moved the market
The challenge was to make potential profit visible quickly. McCain's account managers needed a tool that made this possible, regardless of time or place. Apadmi’s team combined all these elements into one smart iPad app that offers sharp sales advice on the go for every customer.
The app calculates profit based on various data points, and shows the results on a custom Google Map giving a clear picture of potential profit in image and number. The focus was to show opportunity for growth, making choosing profit easier than ever.
The data about households is crucial, but wasn’t available internally. Our challenge was to retrieve the data via a link in multiple European countries. The app also contains a unique API link to calculate the number of households within any desired radius based on the selected transport type.
The result is a highly optimised sales tool that allows McCain Foods to unlock further revenue opportunities globally, whilst also showing their customers how McCain can bring value to their business.
